On February 22nd, the Brooks County High School (BCHS) hosted a Career Day for all students. All grade levels were able to participate and enjoy learning the many requirements, skills, and choices that were in our area for them upon graduation.
Among the participants in the event, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, the United States Armed forces (Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force), Brooks County Community Heart & Soul, BTW Funeral Services, Philanthro Films, Hurst Boiler, Quitman Fire Department, Brooks County Hospital, Southern Quality Propane and many more.
Recent posts about the event included shout outs and thank you. Southern Quality Propane shared on social media: "Southern Quality Propane was thrilled to participate in Brooks County High School’s Career Day!
Amanda Manning informed high school students on the educational requirements, skills, and knowledge required to work in the propane industry. Students who stopped by our booth were surprised to learn of the industry’s diverse range of jobs.
Although propane is widely used, the complexities of the industry are lesser known. Thank you to Brooks County High School for this opportunity to educate our community’s youth!"
CTEA Director Brian Law, was thrilled to help bring this together for both the students and the community. Parents and the public were invited to attend the event. Lunch was provided for all the participants and Brian Law thanked everyone for their participation in coming.
