Brooks County--Quitman's annual Creepin' on Court hosted by the Brooks - Quitman Chamber of Commerce, Elka Mykolaishyn owner of Sly Fox Pickins, and residents living on North Court Street had a very good and successful turnout. Kids of all ages, adults, and even pets were up down the street wearing their Halloween outfits to trick or treat. Many kids were thrilled to see the dozens of decorations while others screamed with delight from being scared by residents.
The entire event lasted for a little over three hours of giggles, screams, laughter, and amazed gasps. Many of those who attended stressed up as their favorite character, while others brought the zombie effects, and horror costumes.
Yards up and down the streets had some lasting decorations that enthralled many of the kids. Cartoon blowups, scary graveyards, pumpkins decorated, and more. Everyone seemed to enjoy the annual event, and many mentioned coming out for the next Halloween.
Posts from social media expressed from those who attended, or participated showed immense delight at having the event and thanks for all who came out to participate.
Until next Halloween...
