In 2021, the idea of building a website that offered news, information, contact links, ad links, and of course a list where everything in the county’s events could be found was steadily growing for the owner Amanda Manning.
Amanda, the former editor of the Quitman Free Press and Brooks County Schools Substitute Teacher, wanted to bring that idea to life. As Amanda focused on ways to make this idea happen local residents of Brooks County, friends, and family all encouraged her to make that idea a reality.
After months of gathering the needed funds and finding the right way to build the idea, Amanda launched her website BC News & Stories, LLC in 2022.
Amanda is a wife, mother, and Memaw, local resident of Brooks County in Barney, graduate of the University of Phoenix with a BA in English, graduate of Valdosta Technical College with a diploma in Business Administration, and published author of one romance novel titled “A Loving Home”.
You can contact Amanda for any upcoming ads, stories, or news.
