Pavo, GA—Despite the rain that bombarded the Brooks County/Thomas County area, the small town of Pavo, held their annual Happy Heart Dance and it proved to be a great way to get out of the house and enjoy the evening.
Folks of all ages, from the area and surrounding areas attended getting out the house to dance the night away. “La Cocina” by Becky Reyes offered food for any who wanted to find some dinner and DJ Dynomite cranked the music up.
“La Cocina” did not disappoint with her cuisine. Many enjoyed the variety of dishes and enjoyed them all. “The food was exceptional and before long “La Cocina sold out,” said Jimmy Brock, local member of Positively Pavo.
DJ Dynomite was also amazing playing many varieties of genre music including hip hop, cupid shuffle, biker shuffle, some 70s, 80s and 90s music. Locals were thrilled to hear the classics as well as some of the more modern.
Pavo’s Peacock Center was decorated brilliantly with a picture booth for Valentines, Valentine balloons, hearts, and red, white, pink, ribbons. Attendees were able to take a breath with decorated tables and chairs while watching those still dancing.
The event began at 6 p.m. and continued until 10 p.m. Attendees shared the event with others who could not attend on Facebook showing videos of the dancers, pictures of event and commenting on what a great time this event was.
Pavo was thrilled to see the turnout they had at this event with over 60 attendees. Plans for next years Valentine Dance is a go so if you missed this one be sure to put it on your schedule for next year. To all Happy Valentine’s Day.
