Morven, GA—There was a great outpouring of love, fun, laughter, and smiles as the annual Morven Bingo Event took place. Why, might you ask? Well, this month’s theme was Code Red for Valentine’s Day and those who attended dressed in red to celebrate it.
The Code Red event took place in the Heritage room located at Morven City Hall building. This event lasted from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. despite the rain pounding the area, on Saturday, February 11th. The Heritage Room was packed full of participants all hoping to win something nice and have an enjoyable time with fellow citizens.
Winners of the bingo games won a variety of prizes including gift cards, journals, Valentine bags of goodies, and more. The winners were Ms. Baker, Courtney Jackson, Ms. Lynette, Amy Smallwood, Ms. Frances, and Miss Kyleigh. One more contest was held at this event for the best dressed.
Morven Event Committee member Keren Rountree posted “Despite the rain, we had a good turnout. Love was definitely in the air. Thank you to everyone that came. Special thanks to all our sponsors and donations. We, the Morven Event Committee love ya’ll way BIG!” Keren has posted several pictures on her Facebook site and can found at https://www.facebook.com/keren.rountree.
Participants from this event commented how thankful they were to have this event, how much fun they had, and a big thank you to the Morven Event Committee.
Morven Event Committee will be holding their next event titled “Unity Prayer in the Park”. This event will be held on Saturday March 25, 2023 at 5 p.m. in Ernest Lawson Park in Morven, GA.
They will also hold their next Bingo Game event in March. Date and time to be announced.
