Brooks County, GA--Joseph Fender is wanted on four felony warrants in Brooks County, Georgia. Local Sheriff Mike Dewey has asked for the public's help in the apprehension of this fugitive on Facebook and other social media platforms.
According to local residents in Northern Brooks County area, Fender was trying to steal a farmer's tractor and was caught by the farmer at gun point. The farmer was on the phone with law enforcement when Fender heard him say he would not shoot but hold him until they got to him. It was then Fender took the vehicle he was in and ran over the farmer. That farmer was taken to the hospital. Sheriff Dewey reports that the victim is doing well.
Fender was also seen within the area close to Berlin, GA in Colquitt County, GA. A search for him within the area on Sept. 3rd by local authorities and dogs failed. Since that time, Sheriff Mike Dewey has requested federal Marshall's assistance in the apprehension of Fender.
Brooks County, Colquitt County, and other law enforcement agencies are requesting the public's assistance to arrest Fender, but cautioning citizens that he is dangerous.
