Brooks County--Without any pause, the Brooks County Schools began their year today, August 8, 2023 with back to back sports games coming up and being played in two of the middle and high school levels.
Smiling kids, proud parents, and excited teachers were all over social media today wishing the students a wonderful school year, but those that play was given a little extra. Good luck, was accompanied with those wishes.
Lined up for the month of August is two sports: Softball and Volleyball and both are beginning this week along with these students new school year classes. Students carrying their bookbags and their sports bags could be seen getting out of their ride to school this morning and off the busses. Smiles, laughter and waves were in abundance, during the morning.
As students learn their classes, get to know their teacher, many are very familiar with their coaches. Brooks County Middle School and High School have been practicing their softball teams all summer. Coach Ham is thrilled to be back on the field with these players and hopes they are just as excited to play and play hard.
Players and coaches are urging parents and citizens to attend the games to give support to these young athletes in their sports.
Below is the schedule for the BCHS and BCMS softball and volleyball teams.
