Jimmy Brock of Pavo Peacock Committee said this year’s event surpassed last years in the number of vehicles that came, “We were surprised at the amount of those who wanted to participate, and we are extremely excited to have so many more this year then last year”.
One may ask exactly what types of vehicles came to this event. A bit of everything would be the answer. There were classic cars, modern cars, everyday cars, and decorated cars. Jeep Wranglers, Chevy model trucks including Chevy COE, Chevy C/K10, a couple of Chevy Chevelles in various year models, 70 model Fords, mustangs, Classic Vintage cars from the 1920s to 1950s, a couple of new electric cars and so many more.
Local vendors of arts and crafts included a variety of wares, jewelry, art, and clothing. Many artists offered their skills including 3D photos and face painting. Unique handmade items could be found with a few antiques to indulge that antique buying spirit. A variety of plants to purchase could also be found.
Bounce houses and strength tests with a long train ride also offered for children. Laughter could be heard as children ran around and bounced or rode the train. Gasps of delight also came from those looking at the various cars some decorated for Venom, Super Woman and more.
Food was in no shortage either for those who attended. Many varieties of foods were offered from sausage dogs to funnel cakes and homemade candy. For those wanting something light, bags of kettle popped corn was available and do not forget that delicious, sweet tea or lemonade.

Winners were called out for the Pavo Quilt drawing, the table drawings and for the 50/50 drawing. At 3 p.m. the Mayor thanked all for coming then handed the microphone to Jimmie Brock who said, “I want to send out a huge thank you to all who came and participated in our event today and who shared their vehicles with us, as well as the vendors for coming out to share their wares and the food vendors for that delicious food. We hope you all enjoyed this event and look forward to seeing you come next year.”
