If you happened to drive through the small town of Morven on July 26, 2022, you may have seen a rather large number of children, adults, and cars at Lawson Peach Shed. That is because North Brooks Elementary held their annual Summer Social event.
This is an event held each year where students coming to North Brooks Elementary, and their parents can gather to socialize with teachers and staff of NBES while enjoying a rather nice treat on a hot summer day. At the event hot dogs and chis are also offered to the NBES students and their families.
The event began at 6 p.m. and ended at 7 p.m. with smiles, laughter, hugs, and a much-needed ice cream treat. Parents and teachers all mingled and spoke answering questions and offering answers. Students excited to see their teachers from the previous years giving hugs and laughter while getting to meet their upcoming teachers.
Thanks to partners in the community who helped make this possible a much-needed ice breaker for students was given and well received. Those who helped sponsor this event were NBES PTA, Citizens National Bank out of Quitman, NBES Community Partner, and Lawson’s Peach Shed.
North Brooks Elementary School (NBES) posted on their social media Facebook page, “A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our Summer Social! It was great to see so many of our students, teachers, and families!”
NBES will begin their school year on August 8, 2022. For a copy of the
