Brooks County Public Library is proud to be of service to the community and the public in offering great books to check out as well as movies and offering computer access as well as a conference room and meeting room and lastly a historical Brooks County room.
However, the library offers a lot more. Starting now the Brooks County Public Library is offering two new services. A free basic computer session for individual with one-on-one tutoring to learn the fundamentals of a computer and a Disc Cleaning & Repair Service for all CDs and DVDs.
The library is encouraging all to sign up for a Free Computer class. This is a one-on-one computer tutorial that is perfect if you are someone you know needs to learn computer fundamentals. This class is offered for free to everyone interested. For more information, see your library staff or contact them via phone at (229) 263-4412.
The second service offered is a Disc Cleaning and Repair Service for all DVDs and CDs. The library uses a disc repair machine to remove scratches from library DVDs and CDs. The machine has worked so well that they are now extending this service to the public.
Please note that the service has a cost of $2.00 per disc but if there is a movie each side of a disc the charge will be $4.00 for service of both sides of the disk. The library also would like you to understand that if the discs have previously been repaired or is cracked then the disc will likely be nonrepairable. There will be no refunds should the disc not play properly once it has been paid for.
If you would like to know more about this service you may contact your local library staff at (229) 263-4412 or stop by and see someone on the library staff.
